Outside the Box
Outside the Box is a development programme aimed at school leaders, teachers and
teaching assistants within a primary-phase school.
Creativity and creative thinking are viewed by many as being crucial skills of being a good learner and many schools have begun the journey of designing and developing the creative curriculum. But how are schools promoting creativity for all its young learners? What is meant by creativity and what does it look like? Are teachers and teaching assistants explicitly developing creativity or ‘killing it’ through a lack of understanding?
